Whether the artist was recommended or you found them after conducting a thorough research, the first and most important step is to have a consultation appointment. During consultation, you may ask all the questions necessary about the service. Here are some helpful suggestions:
what is the right technique based on my skin type and the look I want to accomplish?
how long have you been doing these services?
where did you get certified?
what products/brands do you use?
what should I expect during my appointment?
how should I prepare for my appointment?
what will I have to do after the procedure?
when will my follow up appointment be?
what to avoid after the procedure?
I also recommend to ask for photos and reviews if you were not able to find them on social media or the web.
Any talented and well prepared artist will showcase their work publicly on different social media platforms and have business pages that provide helpful information to their potential customers. You should be able to see their before and after photos, exact location, hours of operation, prices, and reviews. All these key pieces of information will help you determine if they are the right artist for you.
Once you have completed the consultation process and are certain that you want to put your face in the hands of the artist, you then may book your appointment for the procedure of interest. Artists may offer different ways to consult to accommodate a client’s needs but it is strongly recommended to have it in-person. This way you will not only get to meet the artist but you will get to see their workspace.
